Nail contains a protein called keratin whose activity is enhanced by the use of biotin. This helps in enhancing the growth of epidermal cells surrounding the nail and the quality of the nail is increased .it also improve the quality of skin as well as hair which also contain protein keratin. It is experimented scientifically and found that everyday intake of 2.5 milligram d biotin can will be sufficient to the keratin which can eventually give rise to formation of nail of better quality.
